Your recurring thoughts around feeling overwhelmed has a pattern, thats why it is recurring, and I will use mine as an example to spot my Favourite Emotion:

  • Was it when You failed to meet the expectation of your Bosses' request?        >>> WORTHLESS (FEARFUL)
  • Was it when You worry about delivering a feedback to your team member worrying it might affect his/her feelings towards You?                                       >>> REJECTED (FEARFUL)
  • Was it when projects are not moving fast enough based on your expectations? >>> OVERWHELMED (FEARFUL)
  • Was it when you were feeling so bad from making a mistake at a meeting that you were replaying that scene repeatedly after work thinking how You could have done it differently in a better way?                  >>> JUDGEMENTAL (DISGUSTED)
  • Was it when no matter how hard You tried, You are still dissatisfied?             >>> INSIGNIFICANT (FEARFUL)

And the above Emotions were matched to the Wheel of Emotions attached and from there, I could identify which Root Emotions do I lean towards.

And mine is FEARFUL.

I was shocked to learn that I was stricken by Fear, and had a hard time acknowledging it, as I do not felt so and others do not sensed that from me too.

Only to find out later, I had been living with it for so long, and masking it so well by Overeating my Fear with loads of Junk 🍔🍨🧁🍟🍰🥞🍿🌮🍺 that has became 2nd nature.

And having that Awareness, allowed me to loosen the grip that Fear had on me, and I feel so Free today.

So, I invite You to spend some quality time today to spot Your Favourite Emotion as that is one step closer to breaking free from it!
